In Nov 2007 Garron Frith released his debut album on Ravine Records, it received 5/5 Sunday Express, 4 ½/5 Manchester Music, 4/5 Maverick and 4/5 Acoustic Magazine. The album was produced by Simon J Alpin and features 10 acoustic based songs with a little help from Chuck Prophet, The Willard Grant Conspiracy, Grand Drive, Simon on lap steal and Mandolin and some great other musicians along the way. This led to a constant gigging spree and tour supports in 2008 with everyone from John Cooper Clarke to Glenn Tilbrook.
Last year Garron toured England and Ireland and opened for acts such as Midge Ure, Imelda May, The Saw Doctors and Ian McNabb. The year ended with a sell out show at The Verge in Hyde, Greater Manchester and Garron was asked to open for Madeleine Peyroux at the Lowry.
Garron’s second album will be released in 2010.
